Jennifer is the Managing Director of Hill+Knowlton Strategies South Africa. She has more than 16 years’ experience in numerous sections of the communications industry – internal communications, public relations, stakeholder management and crisis and incident management – and has advised clients on local and pan-African strategies to deliver tangible results.
During her time at H+K Jennifer has worked on a range of corporate and consumer brands including the Boston Consulting Group, The Hope Factory, SES, BrightRock, Lenovo, Visa, Standard Chartered Bank, the Compass Group, The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation, Dow Chemicals, MSC Cruises, Mercer, Shell, International Jazz Extravaganza and P&G – Corporate, Pampers, Always, Old Spice, Pantene and Head & Shoulders. Her role has been to develop strategies to assist clients position their businesses, products and/or executives appropriately to their stakeholders and the public to deliver return on investment. She also handles media training, purpose development and crisis communications for clients as well as new business development.
In her most recent position before joining Hill+Knowlton Strategies South Africa, Jennifer worked as an on-site consultant for Coca-Cola, handling internal and external communications and event management. In February 2012 she took over the role of Consumer Affairs Manager for Coca-Cola South Africa. This involved the management of the consumer call centre and all escalated consumer complaints related to any of the company’s billion-dollar brands, reputation management and crisis management.
Jennifer has a BA General in English and Psychology from the University of Johannesburg and a Higher Diploma in Education (Cum Laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
